Omnibox, founded by George Schwartz, has filed a provisional patent and is developing a point-of-care testing and diagnostic system which can be used to identify infectious diseases, including STDs and common viruses such as strep throat and flu. Typically referred to PCR or nucleic acid amplification tests, this type of test is the only one in the market with extremely high accuracy.
It works this way. If a person is suspicious that they may have a specific disease, the subject simply inserts a sample (blood, saliva, etc.) into a cartridge that is the first part of the system. The cartridge is then placed directly inside a test processor, and in 15 minutes a positive/negative diagnosis is provided through an app on a cell phone. Unless the user has given permission for results to be sent to a doctor, this test result goes only to the user. The system provides affordable, swift, private and accurate diagnoses.
Omnibox has assembled a world-class team of personnel, advisors and investors to engineer and build a working prototype using the gold standard of diagnostic technologies. Omnibox welcomes inquiries about possible investment. Please contact George at george@tiogaincubator.com.
